Data Deletion Request
Last updated: May 19, 2026
You can delete your Ironmetrics account and all of its associated data at any time. This page explains both the in-app path and the email path, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.
This applies to data we hold on your behalf in our Supabase backend and in any optional crash-reporting backend.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the App (recommended)
This is the fastest path and removes everything in one step.
- Open Ironmetrics on your device.
- Tap Settings (bottom tab) → Profile & Security.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Confirm the prompt.
- The App signs you out and removes your data within seconds.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Use this if you cannot sign in to the App for any reason (lost device, forgotten password, App not installed).
Send an email to thebigm1019@gmail.com with:
- Subject:
Delete my account
- From: the email address registered to your Ironmetrics account
- Body: a brief confirmation that you want your account deleted (e.g. "Please delete my Ironmetrics account and all associated data.")
We will:
- Verify the request by replying to the email on file (this confirms ownership of the address).
- Delete the account and all associated data within 30 days of verification.
- Send a final confirmation when deletion is complete.
If you no longer have access to the email on file, include any other proof of ownership you can (the approximate date you signed up, the OAuth provider you used, etc.) and we will work with you in good faith.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are permanently removed from our backend:
- Your authentication record (email, password hash, OAuth identifiers).
- All your workouts, sets, and exercise logs.
- All your programs and program workouts.
- All your workout templates and template exercises.
- All your gym profiles and equipment selections.
- All your rest-timer and warm-up settings.
- All your profile metadata (display name, account creation date).
- Any pending offline workouts stored on the device — these are removed when you delete your account from inside the App, and also when you uninstall the App. (They are not cleared by signing out alone, so signing back into the same account on the same device will still upload them on the next sync.)
Database foreign-key cascades remove all of this in a single transaction. There is no soft-delete or hidden retention period for user content.
What is not deleted by this request
- Backups. Our database provider retains short-lived encrypted backups for disaster recovery. These backups roll off automatically within 30 days. Restored data is never re-introduced into the live system unless we are recovering from a catastrophic failure, in which case your deletion request would be re-applied.
- Anonymized crash reports. If crash reporting was enabled and the App crashed during your sessions, anonymized stack traces (with no email or workout content) may exist in our crash-reporting provider's logs. These reports are automatically deleted after 90 days and cannot be linked to you after account deletion.
- Support correspondence. Emails you sent to support remain in our inbox unless you ask us to delete them as part of the same request. Add "and please delete my support correspondence" to your email if you want this.
Data export before deletion
Deletion is permanent. If you want a copy of your workouts before deleting your account, open Settings → Account & Data → Export Data in the App first. This generates a JSON file with all of your workouts and queued offline data, which you can save or send via the system share sheet.
